how to change nozzle on sun joe pressure washer

Changing the nozzle on a Sun Joe pressure washer is a straightforward process. 1. Turn Off the Pressure Washer: Before making any changes or adjustments, ensure that your Sun Joe pressure washer is turned off and that the power source (electricity or fuel) is disconnected.
  2. Release Pressure: To avoid any accidental spray or pressure buildup, trigger the spray gun to release any pressure in the system. Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun until you no longer hear or feel any pressure.
  3. Locate the Nozzle: The nozzle is typically located at the end of the spray wand. It may be color-coded to indicate the spray pattern it produces. Common nozzle colors and spray patterns include:
    • Red: 0-degree nozzle (high-pressure, concentrated stream)
    • Yellow: 15-degree nozzle (high-pressure, narrow fan)
    • Green: 25-degree nozzle (medium-pressure, wider fan)
    • White: 40-degree nozzle (low-pressure, wide fan)
    • Black: Soap nozzle (low-pressure for applying detergent)
  4. Press and Rotate: To remove the current nozzle, press the quick-connect collar located at the end of the spray wand and rotate it counterclockwise (left). This will release the current nozzle.
  5. Insert the New Nozzle: Take the new nozzle with the desired spray pattern and insert it into the quick-connect collar. Make sure it’s fully seated.
  6. Lock in Place: While holding the nozzle in place, rotate the quick-connect collar clockwise (right) until it clicks or locks into position. This ensures that the nozzle is securely attached.
  7. Check for Security: Give the nozzle a gentle tug to ensure it’s properly locked in place. It should not come loose easily.
  8. Connect Power: If you disconnected the power source earlier, reconnect it, and ensure that the pressure washer is ready for use.
  9. Test the New Nozzle: Point the spray gun away from people, animals, and delicate surfaces, and squeeze the trigger to test the new nozzle’s spray pattern. Ensure it’s working as expected.

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidelines provided in the user manual that came with your Sun Joe pressure washer. The proper nozzle choice can make a significant difference in cleaning efficiency and safety, so select the nozzle that best suits your cleaning needs.
